What’s Causing My Back Pain?

Your back is a never ending, twisting maze of bones, joints, ligaments, and muscles.  All of these biological mechanisms work together to give you your mobility.  When one or more of these isn’t functioning correctly you can experience a loss of mobility and pain.  In most cases your loss of mobility/back pain are mechanical in nature rather than something more serious in nature(i.e. arthritis, infection, etc).  While mechanical pain can come from a variety of sources it doesn’t always have to be the most obvious(Sport Injuries orCar Accidents).  Many times we experience a mechanical injury during the course of our day and don’t even remember when it happened.  Sometimes the simplest actions can cause an injury, sometime something as simple as bending down to pick up a penny.  You can sprain ligaments, strain muscles, rupture disks, and irritate joints, all of which can lead to back pain.  Many times lower mechanical back pain results from poor posture, improper lifting techniques, weight issues, and psychological stress among others.

Chiropractic manipulation is found to be one of the most safe and effective ways to treat lower mechanical back pain.  It has been found in many clinical trials, safety studies, and doctor practices to reduce and even eliminate pain, reduce the need for pain medication, and rapidly advance physical therapy.  Chiropractic manipulation can even reduce the need for passive therapies such as extensive rest time.
