Our Mission is to Inform, Inspire, and Empower our community. Through the use of time-tested healing modalities, our purpose is to maximize the body’s innate capacity for self-healing. Through educational outreach, we hope to increase understanding of Oriental medicine, so members of the community may make informed decisions regarding their health and wellbeing. Beyond treating illness, we seek to share tools which allow individuals to take healing into their own hands.
The first visit includes a thorough evaluation and health history in order to accurately formulate a diagnosis and treatment plan. In addition to asking specific questions about your chief issue(s), traditional pulse and tongue diagnosis are performed to confirm the diagnosis.
Treatment consists of the gentle insertion of very fine needles (about as thin as a cat’s whisker!) at specific points on your body in order to stimulate your body’s self-healing capability. Points used are generally located near the extremities, allowing you to remain fully clothed. After the points are stimulated, all you need to do is relax for about half an hour while the needles do the work!
At subsequent visits, time will be taken to discuss changes and improvements in your condition, and pulse and tongue will be assessed to confirm progress. If necessary, adjustments can be made to the treatment plan, then treatment follows as above.
